Keep score at For a Crown, from rubies to the 10-ruby heirloom, and the tiebreaker on influence
You type everyone's rubies once the final gains and losses are applied, and tick the heirloom still in your chest (10 rubies): Teamzy adds them up. A tie? Influence, the place of the portrait in the gallery, names the winning family.

For a Crown in 30 seconds
For a Crown is a game by Maxime Rambourg, published by Repos Production, for 3 to 5 players. Each player leads a family that, over four rounds, recruits mercenaries, sends masked bandits to its rivals and uses its influence to make them lose rubies. When round 4 ends, the final gains and losses are applied, then everyone counts the rubies in their chest: the heirloom still lying there is worth 10. The most rubies wins, and on a tie the most influential family comes out on top.
How you count at For a Crown, and who wins a tie
There are no points at For a Crown: you count rubies. After round 4, the final gains and losses are applied in order: the most influential family gains 1 ruby, the family with the most coins gains 1, and the family with the most masked bandits in front of it loses 1. Everyone then opens their chest and counts the rubies in it, an heirloom still inside being worth 10. The most rubies wins; on a tie, the most influential of the tied families wins, the one whose portrait is furthest right in the gallery. Teamzy does not work out those gains and losses: you apply them at the table, then type the rubies you are left with.
Rubies, the end of the game and the tiebreaker

| Rubies in the chest | 1 |
| Most influential family | 1 |
| Most coins | 1 |
| Most masked bandits | -1 |
| Heirloom still in the chest | 10 |
| End of the match | After round 4 |
| Tie | the most influential family |
The final gains and losses of the example
Lucas, Emma, Hugo and Léa have just finished round 4. Emma is the most influential, Lucas has the most coins and Hugo the most masked bandits in front of him: the three final gains and losses are applied in that order, then everyone counts the rubies in their chest.
| Lucas | Emma | Hugo | Léa | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rubies before the final gains and losses | 26 | 30 | 25 | 21 |
| Most influential family | 0 | +1 | 0 | 0 |
| Most coins | +1 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Most masked bandits | 0 | 0 | −1 | 0 |
| Rubies | 27 | 31 | 24 | 21 |
The example score sheet
The end of the game told below. Emma and Léa are tied on 31: Léa still has her heirloom in her chest, which brings her 10 rubies. Under the total, the Influence line separates them.

Emma wins on the tiebreak: her portrait is furthest right in the gallery, 4th from the left, against 2nd for Léa.
The end of a game, decided on influence
Lucas, Emma, Hugo and Léa have just played round 4 of For a Crown, each for themselves. Lucas, Emma and Hugo sold their heirlooms during the game to pay rubies they were short of: only Léa kept hers at the bottom of her chest.
- 1Round 4 over, the end-of-round phase is skipped and the final gains and losses are applied, in order. Emma, whose portrait is furthest right in the gallery, is the most influential: she gains 1 ruby. Lucas has the most coins: he gains 1. Hugo has the most masked bandits in front of him: he loses 1.
- 2Everyone opens their chest and counts the rubies in it: Lucas 27, Emma 31, Hugo 24 and Léa 21. These numbers already include the gains and losses of the first step.
- 3Léa still has her heirloom: it counts as 10 rubies, and she goes from 21 to 31.
- 4Totals: Emma 31, Léa 31, Lucas 27 and Hugo 24. Emma and Léa are tied for the lead.
- 5The tiebreak looks at influence, that is the gallery: Emma's portrait is 4th from the left, Léa's 2nd. Emma is the more influential of the two.
Emma wins on the tiebreak: 31 rubies like Léa, but the portrait furthest right in the gallery. Ranking: Emma, Léa, Lucas, Hugo.
In Teamzy, you type everyone's rubies on the first line, once the final gains and losses are applied, then tick Léa's heirloom: her total goes to 31 and the app shows "Tied for the lead". You then type on the Influence line the place of each portrait in the gallery, counting from the left: Lucas 3, Emma 4, Hugo 1, Léa 2. That line is not added to the total: it only counts on a tie, and the highest number wins. The app names Emma and keeps the game in the history.

The questions that come up at the table
There are no points: you count rubies. Once round 4 is over, the final gains and losses are applied (1 more ruby for the most influential family, 1 more for the family with the most coins, 1 less for the family with the most masked bandits in front of it), then everyone counts the rubies in their chest. The heirloom, if it is still there, is worth 10 rubies. The most rubies wins. In Teamzy, you type your rubies on the first line, tick the heirloom if you kept it, and the total works itself out.
The For a Crown rulebook, by Repos Production (PDF)At the end of round 4: the end-of-round phase is then skipped and you go straight to the final gains and losses. It can stop sooner: a family with no rubies left in its chest when it has to pay some, and that has already sold its heirloom, is out of play. Its portrait leaves the gallery, its opponents finish the current round, then the game is over. Teamzy does not follow the rounds: you fill in the sheet once the game is over.
Three adjustments, in this order, before the rubies are counted: the most influential family gains 1 ruby; the family or families with the most coins each gain 1 ruby; the family or families with the most masked bandits in front of them each lose 1 ruby. Only the masked bandits still in front of you at the end count: some events of the game let you get rid of them. In the final count, coins are not worth any rubies: they only decide who gets the bonus.
No. The app counts from the rubies you type: apply the final gains and losses at your table first, then type what is left in your chest on the Rubies line. The heirloom has a box of its own: do not add it yourself, tick it.
Each family has its own, kept in its chest at the start with 10 rubies. If you have to return rubies to the reserve and your chest is empty, you must sell your heirloom, which can only happen once: you take 10 rubies from the reserve and can never get it back. If it is still in your chest at the end of the game, it counts as 10 rubies. In Teamzy, tick the Heirloom box only if you kept it: once sold, it no longer counts, because its 10 rubies are already in the ones you type.
On a tie, the most influential of the tied families wins. Influence is read in the gallery: the further right a portrait is, the more influential the family. In the app, type on the Influence line the place of each portrait in the gallery, counting from the left: the highest number wins. That line is not added to the rubies. Each portrait has its own space, so a tie is always settled.
The place of each family's portrait in the gallery, counting from the left: 1 for the portrait furthest left, then 2, 3, and so on. The highest number is the most influential family. Whether you count the spaces or the portraits makes no difference, as long as the portrait furthest right has the highest number. Since the line does not count in the total, you can fill it in only when a tie shows up.
Yes: the sheet has one total per family, from 3 to 5 players, each for themselves, like the game. It has three lines: the rubies, the heirloom (a box worth 10) and the influence, which breaks ties. Recruiting mercenaries, the masked bandits, the events and the magic die are played on the table, with nothing to enter.
